What information do we collect?
When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your name, email address, optional topic interests, the date and time you gave consent, your answer to the optional service-contact checkbox, and the page where you signed up. If you request an operations review or use the staffing calculator, we also collect your company, units managed, role, the challenge you describe, and the calculator inputs and estimates. We temporarily process your IP address only to rate-limit sign-ups and prevent spam; it is not used for marketing or profiling.
Who is responsible for my data?
Leasing Signal is published by Uassist.ME and operated by Uassist.ME LLC, which is responsible for the personal data collected on this site. Our newsletter emails are sent through a shared MailerLite account owned and operated by Uassist.ME LLC, which also sends other Uassist.ME newsletters.
Why do we collect it?
To send you the Leasing Signal newsletter and related email marketing about real estate, multifamily, leasing and proptech, tailored to the interests you select. If you submit the operations review or staffing calculator form, Uassist.ME, the publisher of Leasing Signal, may contact you about your request and send you related emails, such as information about its outsourced leasing and resident support services. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What is the optional service-contact checkbox?
Our newsletter and calculator forms include a separate, optional checkbox: “Uassist.ME, the publisher of Leasing Signal, may contact me about its services.” It is unticked by default and is not required to subscribe. We record your choice (yes or no) with your signup. Only if you tick it, or if you request an operations review, may Uassist.ME contact you about its services; otherwise you receive only the newsletter and the emails you asked for. You can withdraw this choice at any time by emailing privacy@leasingsignal.com or by unsubscribing.
Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Do we sell or share your data?
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site and send email (e.g., hosting and email delivery providers), under contracts requiring them to protect it.
How do I unsubscribe?
Every email includes an unsubscribe link and a Manage preferences link. You can choose which lists to leave in your preferences. One-click unsubscribe (including the unsubscribe button in Gmail or Yahoo Mail) may remove you from every Uassist.ME newsletter, not just Leasing Signal. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly and in all cases within 10 business days, as required by the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. You can also email us.
What are my rights?
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email privacy@leasingsignal.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
How long do we keep it?
We keep subscriber data while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe we retain only the minimum needed to honor your opt-out (your email and unsubscribe date), and delete the rest on request.
How is it secured?
Data is stored on access-controlled servers; exports require a secret token and are transmitted over HTTPS.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Our newsletter is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16.
